Millet provides plenty of individual grain kernels for mycelium to colonise, making it a popular choice for preparing grain spawn.

Recommended inoculation rate

• 1kg grain bag: approximately 5cc of liquid culture.

• 2kg grain bag: approximately 10cc of liquid culture.

How to use

1. Allow the bag to reach room temperature before inoculation.

2. Clean the injection port with an appropriate disinfectant and allow it to dry.

3. Using sterile technique, inject the recommended amount of liquid culture through the injection port.

4. Incubate under suitable conditions for your mushroom species.

Need liquid culture?

Our mushroom liquid cultures are available separately in 10cc sizes. One 10cc culture is suitable for inoculating a 2kg grain bag at the recommended rate.
